HOW TO SLOW DOWN THE AGING PROCESS, AND EXTEND ROOF LIFE.

HOW TO SLOW DOWN THE AGING PROCESS, AND
EXTEND ROOF LIFE.

Properer expansion and contraction is critical for a healthy roofing system. Roof temperatures can climb to 150 degrees during the hot summer months. Passing showers quickly cool the roof causing extreme contraction called thermal shock. As the rains pass temperatures, again, quickly climb.

Asphalt roofing shingles are manufactured with essential oils in the waterproofing asphalt that allows these extreme movements. As shingles age, their oils dry out, causing them to become brittle and loose their ability to expand and contract. It’s at this point that a roof goes into decline as repeated cycles of expansion and contraction begin to crack and slowly break the roof apart.

Roof Maxx is a scientifically formulated, all-natural soy-based sealer, so effective it holds a US patent. Treatment extends service life 5 years by re-saturating dry and brittle roof shingles with millions of micro-beads of organic oil. These essential oils restore flexibility that allows for proper movement of the entire roofing system, critical for maximum service life. Additionally, Roof Maxx enhances adhesion of the shingle’s mineral granules, the protective top coating, designed to reflect the sun’s harmful UV rays which dry out the waterproofing asphalt.

Roof Maxx can be applied to roofs of all ages, but isn’t suggested until the granule coating starts to shed, a sure sign oils are drying up, causing brittleness within the asphalt. Additionally, to resist against algae growth, natural fungicides are blended into the formulation. Call CKG Contractors at 973-599-0811 for a consultation today.

A Strong Commitment for a Sustainable Future.

The world is set to change drastically over the next several decades. Bio-Tech and Bio-Science, in particular, will cause unprecedented transformations. The spectrum of possible futures for humanity is wider than it has ever been, and the outcome depends upon our actions now.

The U.S. roofing industry produces more than 12.5 billion square feet of shingles each year. At the same time, the industry generates around 11 million tons of waste from tearing off shingle roofs that have passed their useful life.

Our vision is to be a major force in the sustainability of asphalt roofing systems by increasing their effective service life. This effort is helping build bridges for a brighter, and more sustainable future for generations to come.

In this pursuit, we have formed strategic partnerships with the following world-class leaders in Bio-Tech discovery in research, academia, and commercial development.
